Independent Barbados vacation planning — practical, organized and easy to use.

Image and Photo Credits

We use real Barbados photography where it helps visitors understand a beach, area or activity. This page records where those images came from.

Our visual rule: Photos should help you understand Barbados, not simply fill space. We identify documentary photographs separately from the original illustrated homepage visual.

Documentary Barbados photographs

The following photographs are hosted by Wikimedia Commons. Public-domain and CC0 images are credited for clarity; photographs under Creative Commons attribution licences include the photographer, source page and licence below.

Original site visuals

The homepage hero is an original AI-generated editorial illustration used for atmosphere, not as documentary evidence of a specific beach. The simplified island orientation map is an original site diagram.

Why we do not use generic stock photos

A photograph should help answer a travel question: what the water looks like, how one coast differs from another, what a historic area looks like, or why a place may suit a particular trip. We avoid filling pages with unrelated tropical imagery.
